Troubleshooting Tips for BEMS

I've heard that there are a plethora of grades that seemingly aren't posted. With that in mind, I wanted to give you all a quick troubleshooting post to check your own grades.

First step is to make sure that you actually have grades in the "In Progress" column instead of an N/A.

If you see an N/A in the "In Progress" column then it will not post a grade for that student. The N/A itself could be caused by two pieces:
  1. You do not have three assignments in that indicator, which would mean that "Mode of Last 3" would not have the three assignments to look at.
  2. You have three assignments, but none of the last three have the same score. Mode requires at least two of the same grades in for the last three. So, it would not calculate anything if 1, 2, and 3 are the last three assignment scores. But it would calculate it if the three scores were 2, 3, 3 (and the score would show as a 3).
If you post your grades (click post, then ok, and then save), you should see a 1, 2, 3, or 4 in the grade column. Any student who does not have a grade need to be manually posted. You need to do that in the posted grade section and not in the "in progress" section.


Clicking post again will overwrite all of your posted grades with that is in progress. If you manually post, just click "Save" and move on to the next indicator.​

If you do not see anything in the "Grade" column in the "Posted" section, then your grades are not posted.

If you have posted grades correctly, you will see the grade column in the posted section with grades. This gives you an idea of what it should look like:
